VALDOSTA, GA, September 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cassandra Campbell, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner for the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military health care services.

For 17 years, Ms. Campbell has been providing women's health care, including birth control counseling and gynecological procedures, to 7,500 active and dependents of the military. Her desire to care for others brought her into her current position as women's health nurse practitioner for the U.S. Air Force.

In 2005 Ms. Campbell earned a master's degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, to complement a Bachelor of Science in Nursing she earned in 1994 from the University of Delaware. She also holds women's health nurse practitioner certification, and inpatient obstetrical nursing certification. She remains up-to-date in her field through affiliations with the National Association of Nurse Practioners in Women's Health, AWHONN, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She was recently given the Valdosta Excellence in Nursing Award by the City of Valdosta, and in 2009was named Air Combat Command Nurse Practitioner of the Year. In the near future, she hopes to become a military chief nurse.
