Col. Leopold Eric Kyanda Named Professional of the Year in Government Service
Leopold Kyanda is a defense advisor for the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda
SILVER SPRING, MD, August 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Col. Leopold Kyanda, Defense Advisor for the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in government service.
Kyanda is an accomplished soldier and defense advisor who has dedicated his career to liberating the citizens of Uganda. An expert in leadership management with 26 years of professional experience, he aided in the development of the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group (ECOMOG), which was an initiative funded by the United States to bring peace to Liberia. Now in his third year with the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda, he is responsible for liaising with the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. He continues his efforts with ECOMOG by collaborating with other African states to find new opportunities for terrorism defense in Somalia. Notably, he commanded the brigade that protected the Ugandan president, Yoweri Museveni, from 2000 to 2005.
Loyal and hardworking, Kyanda is proud to have devoted his career to serving his country. He is currently working toward an Associate of Business Administration at Strayer University, a personal goal he would like to attain. Certified as an international intelligence director, Kyanda is affiliated with AMVETS and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, from whom he received an award in 2009. For Kyanda, the future promises opportunities to network and consult on the various and unique areas that he feels lucky to have experienced.
