LTC Darryl Wesley Sharp Sr. Honored for Excellence in Military Service
LTC Darryl Sharp Sr. was recently inducted into Cambridge Who's Who as a VIP member

ALEXANDRIA, VA, July 6, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Darryl Wesley Sharp Sr., Chief Sustainment Operations Division for United States Army Central (US ARCENT) Operational Command Post at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and an Executive Trainer for 5LINX, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

With 21 years of military experience, LTC Sharp is entrusted with providing soldiers with their critical logistic needs. An expert in sustainment operations, he is responsible for a myriad of tasks. This includes providing leadership for 32 multifunctional logisticians and analysts managing class I (food and water), II (tools and expendable items), III (fuel), V (ammo), VII (theater asset visibility/ property book/end items), VIII (medical supplies), coalition, acquisition, review board, maintenance, multi national logistics and mortuary affairs support for more than 300,000 joint and coalition forces engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)/Operation New Dawn (OND), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and conduction operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and 12 other nations in the CENTCOM area of responsibility. Additionally, he coordinates with Headquarters Department of the Army, Forces Command, Central Command, and Army Material Command to provide the best support to the soldiers

In addition to serving in the military, LTC Sharp runs his own business. LTC Sharp received a master's degree in procurement and acquisition management in 2009 from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1989 from Virginia State University (VSU). He is a member of VSU's Military Alumni Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and The ROCKS, Inc. Military honors of which he is a recipient include a Bronze Star Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, a Army Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, an Army Achievement Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, a National Defense Service Medal with Star Device, an Iraqi Campaign Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Korean Defense Service Medal, a Humanitarian Service Medal, a Military Occupation Volunteer Service Medal, an Army Service Ribbon, an Overseas Service Ribbon, and a Meritorious Unit Citation Medal.
