George G. Husted Lauded for Longevity in Military Service
George Husted served for 32 years in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Air Force for four years

PARMA, MO, May 11, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- George G. Husted, retired Commander for the U.S. Navy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

A 36-year veteran of the service, Cmdr. Husted devoted his entire career to God and country. He is proud to have served in two branches of the American military — the U.S. Navy for 32 years and the U.S. Air Force for four. Widely respected for his leadership, he was tasked with commanding detachments in Europe and on the East Coast of the United States. Cmdr. Husted attributes the success and longevity that he found to hard work, the Lord's guidance, and the support of an understanding wife.

Cmdr. Husted received a Bachelor of Science in 1977 from The State University of New York. He is a member of VFW, The American Legion, and Freemasonry, and was recently inducted into Cambridge Who's Who as a VIP member. He supports The Gideons International. Now officially in retirement, Cmdr. Husted enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Sidney, whom he met on his first assignment in Fort Worth, Texas, and to whom he has been married for 58 years. He calls her "the world's greatest wife." They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
