David Silvia, LMT was selected as a volunteer massage therapist by the United States Olympic Committee in Oct. 2010

TAUNTON, MA, May 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David C. Silvia, Massage Therapist and Owner of Active Health Massage Therapy and Fitness, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

As an athlete, Mr. Silvia incorporated massage therapy into his training regimen. His experience in the field has made him an expert in sports, deep-tissue and therapeutic massage. Serving as the owner of Active Health Massage Therapy and Fitness, he is responsible for meeting with clients and providing massage services. Previously, Mr. Silvia worked with Team Semper Fi of the U.S. Marine Corps. and the Wounded Warriors Project. Additionally, he was a tournament therapist at the Newport Volleyball Club. Recently, he was selected to participate in the rotation of massage therapists by the United States Olympic Committee to work on elite athletes at events and training camps.

Mr. Silvia is licensed as a massage therapist in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also recognized as a Reiki practitioner and a nationally certified massage therapist by NCBTM. A member of the American Massage Therapy Association, he often volunteers his services to local charitable events, including the Boston Marathon, Amica Ironman Triathlon and Marathon, Run for the Warrior and the Marine Corps Marathon. He hopes to continue helping people maintain their active and healthy lifestyles.
