Magnificent Mayor Is Elected To The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Mayor Robert G. Ortt to the ranks of prestigious professionals as a result of his outstanding work in local government.
NORTH TONAWANDA, NY, September 9, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Mayor Robert G. Ortt to the ranks of prestigious professionals as a result of his outstanding work in local government. As Mayor of the City of North Tonawanda for the past 4 years, Robert has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
North Tonawanda is a city in Niagara County, New York. It is referred to as "The Lumber City," due to the fact that from the mid-1800s through the 1970s, it was a lumber transportation or forwarding center of significance. It was also once the largest port on the Great Lakes during the height of the Erie Canal. The city is known as a historic as well as cultural destination.
Mayor Ortt is responsible for overseeing over 31,000 residents. He has also served as City Treasurer and City Clerk in the past. In addition, Robert is a former member of the National Guard Army Branch which he served with for 8 years. During his educational career, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Canisius College. Robert is a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Operations.
