Kimberly R. Canty Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Military Service
Kimberly R. Canty brings 21 years of military experience to the Inspector General of Headquarters Air Combat Command

LANGLEY AFB, VA, September 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly R. Canty, Senior Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

Presently assigned to the Inspector General of Headquarters Air Combat Command, Kimberly R. Canty is respected for the 21 years she has devoted to God and country. She is best noted for her skills in personnel management and, as such, is entrusted with inspecting and ensuring compliance with Air Force standards and investigating complaints. Proud to have risen through the ranks, SMSgt. Canty considers attaining her current assignment to be her greatest professional accomplishment to date. Honored with a Personnel Manager of the Year as a Staff Sergeant Award and a Distinguished Graduate at the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, she attributes her success to her hard work and determination, and to the inspiration she received from members of her family, many of whom also served in the Air Force.

Prior to joining the USAF, SMSgt. Canty worked in a nursing home as a certified nursing assistant. She holds an associate degree in human relations and a certification in investigation. She also has extensive experience in working with the youth through volunteering as a mentor at her local school and as an acolyte master at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church. SMSgt. Canty looks forward to more years in military service and plans to work with children and the elderly in the future.
