John-Henry Pearcy, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), dedicated 28 years to the service of his country
OMAHA, NE, September 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John-Henry Pearcy, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Air Force, was recently featured in Cambridge Publishing's Top 101 Industry Experts book. John-Henry Pearcy enjoyed a distinguished 28-year career in the service of his country. Respected for his expertise in radar navigation instruction, he was in charge of developing training plans for forward air controllers and mission planning guides for cruise missiles. He brought to his position experience from previous assignments with the National Security Agency in Maryland, the Misawa Air Base in Japan, the Royal Air Force Chicksands in England, and Osan Air Base in Korea. Additionally, Mr. Pearcy worked as a B-52 trainer for Mather Air Force Base and Castle Air Force Base in California as a B-52 trainer, radar navigator, and radar navigator instructor at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana; a radar navigator instructor at Castle Air Force Base; a ground forward air controller for the 10th Mountain Division in New York; and a flight commander of the cruise missile division of the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
While he was originally drafted to serve in the Vietnam War, he is pleased to say that this action offered him a unique opportunity to demonstrate his patriotism toward his country and serve his fellow Americans. Mr. Pearcy considers joining the military as an enlisted member and becoming an officer as his proudest professional accomplishments. Honored with numerous military awards, he attributes his success to his dedication, honesty and integrity.
Mr. Pearcy received a master's degree in counseling in 1989 from Louisiana Tech University, a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 2003 from Peru State College, and a bachelor's degree in political science in 1981 from the University of Maryland. He gives generously to Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, The American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Now officially in retirement, Mr. Pearcy aspires to work with youth in juvenile centers in order to develop their leadership skills and motivate them to pursue respectable careers.
In his spare time, Mr. Pearcy enjoys fishing, camping and hunting.
