Industry Leader Jon Wolland Added to the Cambridge Who's Who Network
Jon Wolland has had the opportunity to guard three U.S. presidents

RENO, NV, September 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Jon Wolland, Master Sergeant, NCOIC with the Nevada National Guard, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in avionics maintenance and security services.

Sgt. Wolland served in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Calm, Bosnia and Iraqi Freedom. Currently, Sgt. Wolland serves as NCOIC of the base RPT, which is a trained security forces auxiliary unit. As an RPT member, and later as the NCOIC, Sgt. Wolland had the opportunity to guard three U.S. Presidents: Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. Sgt. Wolland was an inertial navigation system maintainer, and then a guidance and control maintainer, on RF-4C Phantom II aircraft for a total of 15 years.

Currently, he manages Guidance and Control (GAC) maintenance on C-130H2, C-130 Super E-Models (Pacer Coin) and C-130 E-Model aircraft. He is proud to have served the United States in wartime. His unit also worked 12-hour shifts to provide enhanced security for the base until properly relieved by security force personnel for two weeks after the 9/11 attacks. He is a three-time Commendation Medal recipient, a six-time Achievement Medal recipient, and the recipient of the Humanitarian Service Medal.

Sgt. Wolland is a graduate of inertial navigation and radar systems repairman school, the U.S. Air Force Airman Leadership School, the U.S. Air Force Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Academy and the Senior NCO Academy, among other military training institutions. He holds Master Craftsman Certification (7-Level) in Guidance and Control Systems (GAC), RF-4C Aircraft and C-130 E- and H-Model Aircraft through the U.S. Air Force. He is a Certified 7-Level Trainer for GAC Personnel, the Resource Protection Team (RPT) and Personnel. Additionally, he holds Base Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory Coordinator/Scheduler Certification and is a Torque Wrench Calibration Technician. Sgt. Wolland also attained certification as a Federal Wage Survey Data Collector, and is an expert marksman with an M-16 rifle, M-9 pistol and other weapons. He is licensed to carry a concealed weapon in the State of Nevada, and completed Basic Scuba Diver Certification.

Sgt. Wolland is a life member of the U.S. Air Force Sergeants Association, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, and an endowment life member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoys volunteering with the Reno Youth Arts Project. He attributes his success to his good leadership skills.
