Patricia A. Brown Honored for Accomplishments in Education
Patricia A. Brown was recognized by the United States Department of Defense for her support of military education
Concord, NH, August 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia A. Brown has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education administration.
Ms. Brown has lead a successful 30-year-long career in adult and continuing education. She is currently serving as Interim Dean for the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Franklin Pierce University with responsibility for the management of the University's four centers in New Hampshire and one in Arizona.
Ms. Brown, former Dean for Educational Outreach at Western Carolina University, is credited with enrollment growth in distance education. A registered nurse and certified nurse educator, she earned her doctorate in education at Temple University and later earned a Master of Public Health at Boston University. She is a member of the Military Installation Voluntary Education Review team and the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE). Currently president of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the national honor society for adult learners, Ms. Brown has been recognized for her contributions to education by ACHE and the military.
