SAINT PETERSBURG, FL, July 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stacy Griffith Chatman, Chief of Ambulatory Care for Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare management.

A veteran herself, Ms. Chatman has five years of professional experience in medical administration, three of those years in management. At the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, she manages ambulatory care and benefits sections in Health Administration. She oversees administrative programs that provide transportation and travel reimbursements, primary care management, and community based outpatient clinic functions for four clinics in Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Ms. Chatman served in the United States Navy from 1994 to 2001. She attributes her success to her personal drive and the support that she receives from her mentors.

In 2008, Ms. Chatman received a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities from Eckerd College. She also completed an internship in health management the same year. In the future, Ms. Chatman hopes to experience professional growth within the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and continue to contribute to the health and welfare of our United States veterans.
