Nancy Sarah Livengood Honored for Accomplishments in Logistics Management
Logistics Manager Nancy Sarah Livengood celebrates first anniversary with Oshkosh Corporation

OSHKOSH, WI, July 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Sarah Livengood, International Corporate Logistics Manager for Oshkosh Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of logistics management.

Defined by her drive to take on new challenges with enthusiasm, Nancy Sarah Livengood is a recognized expert in the field of logistics management. Backed by nearly 40 years of professional experience, she lends her talents to Oshkosh Corporation, a manufacturing firm that provides access equipment, specialty vehicles and truck bodies for a myriad of international markets. Now celebrating her first year with the company, Ms. Livengood is relied upon to manage international imports and exports, coordinate international shipments, negotiate and manage contracts, and review international logistics and cost savings reports.

Prior to joining Oshkosh Corporation, Ms. Livengood served as a supply manager for the United States Air Force. She was also an inventory supervisor and purchasing agent for Motorola. In her November interview with Cambridge Who's Who, she recalled her experience with JLG Industries as a logistics project specialist, material supervisor and international traffic manager. Having made numerous trips to Europe, she built business relationships with freight forwarders and steamship lines. Ms. Livengood also worked with third-party logistics providers in an effort to develop and implement a program to consolidate parts shipments from suppliers throughout Europe and make weekly deliveries to a production facility in Southern France. This program managed to save JLG exorbitant freight costs and inventory carrying costs. She considers this experience to be the highlight of her career thus far. Moving ahead, she looks forward to reaching outside of her network of providers and exploring new options in logistics.

Ms. Livengood lives by the mantra, "Love what you do and do what you love." A trusted member of the Oshkosh Corporation team, she works tirelessly to assist clients with their logistics requirements. In addition to her top-notch interpersonal skills, she considers confidence and hard work to be the driving forces behind her success. For vocational excellence she was named "Professional of the Year" by Cambridge Publishing for the 2009/2010 year and was honored with the Facility Award for Academic Achievement from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Livengood holds a bachelor of science in business administration, earned through the University of Phoenix and is an active supporter of the American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity.
