Julio Masdiaz attributes his success to his upbringing and perseverance

TOBYHANNA, PA, July 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julio Masdiaz, CareerLink Specialist for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workforce Development Partnership, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administrative operations.

As a careerlink specialist for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workforce Development Partnership, Mr. Masdiaz specializes in workforce development. After obtaining his Associate of Science from Westchester Community College and his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Excelsior College in 1994, he decided to pursue a career that would assist individuals with the necessary resources for employment. He assists in coordinating re-employment programs, performs case management studies and conducts classes for the unemployed. In the coming years, he aspires to become a supervisor or manager.

The PA CareerLink in Monroe County is the area's premiere one-stop center, whose purpose is to assist job seekers, employers, students and individuals looking to upgrade their existing skills with quality and professional workforce development services. In addition to seminars, more intensive services are available to those individuals in need of aptitude and interest assessment, literacy training, English as a Second Language (ESL), General Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes and basic computer literacy. Tuition reimbursement for skill training classes may also be provided to eligible applicants who require technical skills to become employed. The business services team also offers a wide range of business support services to their local employers.

Prior to attaining his position with the organization, Mr. Masdiaz worked for the United States Postal Service for 13 years. He completed coursework in Instructor of Technology and Military Science at Community College of the Air Force and obtained his Associate of Applied Science in Avionics Systems Technology, going on to work as an avionics equipment technician for the United States Air Force for 10 years. He has received several military awards and is a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. In addition, he is an instructor of technology and military science at the Community College of the Air Force and operates as a private pilot.
