William D. Richards Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
William D. Richards celebrates 30 years in military affairs
CLINTON, MS, June 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William D. Richards, Sergeant First Class for the United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military services.
With 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Richards specializes in construction engineering. He followed his family's tradition and enlisted in the Army in 1981. He conducted a two year tour and left the Army in 1981 to launch his own construction company. In 1988, he realized his passion remained with the Army, so he sold the business and returned to the service. Currently, he manages construction operations and trains engineers at the operational level. He attributes his success to his goal-oriented nature and perseverance.
Mr. Richards is pursuing his Master's Degree in Homeland Security, having received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Thomas Edison State College in 2010. He attained the De Fleury Medal from the United States Army Corps of Engineers, two meritorious service medals, five army commendation medals, six army achievement medals, a Global War on Terrorism award and a humanitarian award. He intends to retire from the service in April 2011, and he has aspirations to attain a job utilizing his experience in construction management and homeland security.
