Elloise M. Hitshew Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Elloise M. Hitshew was successfully awarded a major project at Wallace Creek, Camp Lejeune, NC for the US Marines
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, June 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elloise M. Hitshew, Supervisory Contract Specialist / Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense, US Navy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military and defense.
Ms. Hitshew has 20 years of overall professional experience; ten of which was active duty in the United States Navy and the rest as a contract specialist. Most recently, she has been in charge of managing military construction contracts, environmental, architectural and engineering services contracts and ship repair services. She was successfully awarded a major project at Wallace Creek, Camp Lejeune, NC for the US Marines, where they are building a base within a base to accommodate over 2,000 Marines. In awarding this project, her team managed to save the government, and taxpayers, approximately $146 million dollars.
In addition to holding a Contracting Level III Certification, Ms. Hitshew is pursuing her Master of Acquisition Management with American Graduate University. She is a member of the National Contract Management Association and the Defense Acquisition Corps. She left active duty in 1998, with an Honorable Discharge as a Second Class Petty Officer having received two Navy Achievement Medals.
Ms. Hitshew attributes her success to the support and guidance she receives from her mentors.
