Devina C. Beatty Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Devina C. Beatty earned a master's degree in procurement and acquisition from Webster University

WILMINGTON, NC, June 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Devina C. Beatty, Master Gunnery Sergeant for the United States Marine Corps, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

Inspired to enter her profession by her uncle, who served in the United States Military, Mrs. Beatty has spent the past 26 years in the United States Marine Corps. A master gunnery sergeant, she acts as an ordnance chief, overseeing ground operations; her specialty is in aviation ordnance. Having supported Operation Desert Storm and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Mrs. Beatty was the first female to become an E-9 (the first Major Sergeant Ordnance Chief) aviation ordnance chief in the United States Marine Corps. She attributes her success to her perseverance.

Pursuing a Doctorate, Mrs. Beatty earned a Master's Degree in Procurement and Acquisition as well as a Certificate in Government Contracting from Webster University. She is also the recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Business and Sociology from Park University. In addition, she is a member of the Association of Aviation Ordnancemen and the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society. In the future, she hopes to venture into teaching and begin writing.
