Sheila L. Sutton-Pickett Honored by Exclusive Membership Organization
Sheila L. Sutton-Pickett investigates the possibility of insurance fraud on behalf of State Farm Insurance

ROCHESTER, NY, May 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Sheila L. Sutton-Pickett, SIU Investigator for State Farm Insurance, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in insurance.

Specialized in communications and insurance fraud investigation, Sheila L. Sutton-Pickett lends more than 17 years of industry experience to State Farm Insurance. In her position as a fraud investigator, a position she has held for the past 13 years, Ms. Sutton-Pickett is primarily responsible for investigating the possibility of insurance fraud, with a particular focus on large fires.

In a candid interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. Sutton-Pickett noted that she was recruited by State Farm. She enjoyed the work so much that she decided to build her career in the insurance field rather than pursue a career in the sciences, as she graduated from SUNY Brockport with a bachelor's degree in biology. When asked about the driving force behind her success, Ms. Sutton-Pickett credited strong family values, familial support and faith in God. In recognition of outstanding contributions to her field, she was named Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who for the 2009/2010 year.

In addition to a bachelor's degree in biology, earned in 1990, Ms. Sutton-Pickett completed industry-related training. She was also a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. She currently serves as vice chair of the board of directors for Wilson Commencement Park and is a member of the National Debutante Alumni Association. She is also an Urban League Black Scholar Alumni. Looking ahead, Ms. Sutton-Pickett intends to become more actively involved with nonprofit community boards.
