Monica A. Wilson Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Monica A. Wilson recognized for excellent military leadership

RINEYVILLE, KY, April 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Monica A. Wilson, Captain RHHT of the 16th Cavalry Regiment for the United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military leadership.

With 22 years of military experience, Captain Wilson has cultivated a specialization in human resource management. On a daily basis, she supervises 120 soldiers and civilians for human resource program operations as a troop commander, plans, organizes and directs military and civilian personnel activities, establishes and issues personnel management policies and guidance for applications within the regiment and by squadrons, and exercises authority for direction of military, civilian and personnel management programming designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of managers in accomplishment of missions through fair, efficient and economical use of military and civilian personnel. She has a family background in the military and is married to Sergeant First Class Michael T. Wilson. She attributes her success to her subordinates and superiors.

Ms. Wilson is currently pursuing a master's degree in human relations at Oklahoma State University. She holds a bachelor of science, earned from Cameron University in 1997. She is also a member of the Adjutant General's Regimental Corps Association, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and the Military Officers Association of America.

Ms. WIlson has been honored with the following recognitions: Women's History Month Plaque (2005); First and Only Woman Commander, 16th Cavalry Regiment; Meritorious Service Medal (twice); Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal (three times); Army Achievement Medal (three times); Joint Meritorious Unit Award (twice); Army Good Conduct Medal (three times); National Defense Service Medal (twice); Service Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (twice); Army Service Medal; Overseas Service Ribbon (three times); Parachutist Badge.
