Michael F. Tanigawa thrives as an information and referral program manager for the Army Community Service

HONOLULU, HI, April 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael F. Tanigawa, Information and Referral Program Manager for the Army Community Service, United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in personnel management.

As an information and referral program manager for the Army Community Service, United States Army, Michael F. Tanigawa is responsible for answering questions, addressing personnel issues, and offering information regarding civilian and Army programs to help resolve these issues. Mr. Tanigawa served in the United States Army for 21 years before retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1992. He served overseas, including six years in West Germany, seven years in Hawaii and one year in South Korea. He also spent two and a half years at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and three years at West Point. He became involved in his profession after deciding to pursue a career change following 10 years as the Registrar at a private school, and he attributes his career success to his excellent administrative and people skills.

Mr. Tanigawa received his Master of Arts in Personnel Management from Central Michigan University in 1982 and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University in 1971. He is a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon.
