YONKERS, NY, April 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Alexander Pakhomov, President and Chief Executive Officer of Security & Defense Research, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.

Dr. Pakhomov has 35 years of overall professional experience. His responsibilities at Security & Defense Research, LLC include conducting research, designing software and hardware for security and defense purposes. He has written more than 170 scientific papers and books, methodical papers, manuals and textbooks on processing geophysical fields, pattern recognition and design of automated electronic safety, observation and environment control systems. Additionally, he was a first rank captain in the Russian Navy until 1998.

A permanent resident holder of United States, Dr. Pakhomov is a citizen of the Russian Federation. He received five medals for outstanding service and contribution to the development of national science and technology on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, Presidium of the Supreme Soviet and USSR Minister of Defense. From 1992 to 2000, he was a member of the Academic Council of the Naval Academy. Dr. Pakhomov served on the Specialized Methodology Council for the Naval Academy, and as deputy chairman of the Council for Doctor Degrees for the Higher Attestation Board of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.

In 1990, Dr. Pakhomov received his Doctor of Science in Military Cybernetics, Information Science, Operational Research, Systems Analysis, Modeling of Systems and Actions, and in Systems Operations and their Military Efficiency, from the Higher Attestation Board of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. He received his Master of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1983 from the Naval Academy in Russia. He also received his Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics in 1975, and his Master of Science in Physics in 1972, from Saint Petersburg State University.
