Clayton E. Sumner Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence at USAID
Clayton E. Sumner recognized for 30 years of dedication working in U.S. State, Federal and foreign administrative management activities
VANCOUVER, WA, April 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Clayton E. Sumner, Retired Administrative Analyst from the Food for Peace Program of the United States Department of State's Agency for International Development (USAID), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in foreign service.
Prior to his retirement, Clayton E. Sumner gained over three decades of experience, which he proudly lent to the USAID. An expert in directing administrative methods and procedures, he previously served in Brazil, where he was responsible for advising the national government on administrative matters such as income tax, productivity, alien registration and data processing. In a later stint with the Latin American country, he worked as an officer for the USAID Food for Peace Program, which covered nine states in the northeastern part of the nation. Mr. Sumner joined the State Department because of the opportunity it presented him to travel and build organizations. He played a key role at USAID, demonstrating his passion for his profession and emerging at the forefront of his field.
A graduate of Albany Business College, Siena College and Syracuse University, Mr. Sumner holds a master's degree in public administration. He is affiliated with Wyndham Vacation Resorts and holds active membership with the Knights of Columbus. In recognition of outstanding contributions to his field, Mr. Sumner was selected for inclusion in "Cambridge Publishing's Top 101 Industry Experts" book.
