Tamara Scheffler Celebrated for Achievements in Military Leadership
Tamara Scheffler is tasked with overseeing 469 individual reservists
PERRY, GA, March 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Tamara Scheffler, Superintendent of Joint Forces Command for the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military leadership.
With 22 years of experience in military service, Tamara Scheffler is best noted for her expertise in management and leadership development. She has devoted most of her career to the U.S. Air Force. In her current position, she is responsible for managing a reserve program for the Headquarters Readiness Management Group consisting of the US Joint Forces Command and two Department of Defense agencies overseeing 469 individual reservists. Originally trained in information technology, Ms. Scheffler ventured into human resources and found her niche in that field. She attributes her success to the support that she received from her mentors.
Ms. Scheffler earned a master's degree in information technology in 2001 from Strayer University. For outstanding contributions to her field, she was named "Professional of the Year" by Cambridge Publishing for the 2009/2010 year. Her professional affiliations include the Air Force Sergeants Association. In five years, she aspires to offer education and leadership development in a civilian capacity.
