Michael A. Nace Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Michael A. Nace celebrates a successful 30-year career in flight nursing

SAN DIEGO, CA, March 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael A. Nace, Retired Commander and Senior Medical Officer for the United States Navy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military medicine.

Prior to his retirement, Michael A. Nace led an impressive 30-year career specializing in emergency, trauma, disaster and operational nursing. Responsible for managing the cardiology and cardiothoracic unit, he received multiple honors and recognitions for his professional excellence as a Commander and Senior Medical Officer. The most rewarding aspect of working in the United States Navy, he noted, was not the accolades he received during his tenure. Rather, it was having the opportunity to train young women and men to treat and care for the country's warriors and families. Paired with his passion for the medical field, it was this commitment that served as the primary driving force behind his success.

Today, Mr. Nace enjoys an active retirement, which he plans to utilize to become more involved in emergency medicine and flight nursing. Currently, he serves as a flight nurse for Mercy Air, a part of Air Methods Corporation. He also is a nurse practitioner with the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group of San Diego. He is an active member of his professional community, and maintains membership with the Emergency Nurses Association, Alumni Association of the University of Cincinnati, Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International. He also contributes to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and his local veterans association.

Mr. Nace holds a master of nursing with a concentration in emergency medicine and a certification as an acute care nurse practitioner through the University of Maryland at Baltimore (UMAB).
