PANAMA CITY, FL, March 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marlin M. Coy, Commander of AMVETS FL Post 2298, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in veteran services.
With more than 30 years of experience in the U.S. Air Force, Marlin M. Coy is uniquely positioned to hold the distinguished charge of Commander of AMVETS FL Post 2298. In an effort to provide the finest veteran services, Mr. Coy expertly oversees post operations, and is responsible for fundraising, coordinating veteran benefits and arranging community service programs.
A dedicated humanitarian, Mr. Coy attributes his success to his desire to assist military personnel. In recognition of his efforts, he was honored with the Quality Post Award by the National Newsletter as well as the Post of the Year Award. He was also selected out of 79 post commanders to receive Florida's Commander of the Year Award for the 2008-2009 year.
Mr. Coy is a certified special weapons technician and is a board member of the Bay County Veterans Council. He is affiliated with the AMVETS and the American Legion, and is an active supporter of various veterans programs and rescue missions as well as the State Veterans' Nursing Home and The Salvation Army.
