Deportation officer, Kim L. Greene celebrates over 16 years with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
BALTIMORE, MD, March 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Kim L. Greene, Deportation Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in immigration enforcement.
U.S. Army veteran, Kim L. Greene lends over 16 and a half years of professional experience to the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Her first 6 years were as a Detention Enforcement Officer under the former U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS)/USDOJ. Now celebrating her 11th year as a Deportation Officer under Immigration & Customs Enforcement/DHS, Ms. Greene utilizes her expertise to identify, locate and arrests aliens and is responsible for ensuring the physical removal of illegal immigrants from the United States to their native countries. She also conducts legal research to support decisions on deportation/exclusion cases and assist government attorneys in representing the government in court actions. Her responsibilities include working with both criminal and non-criminal aliens, conducting complex investigations, conducting surveillance work, preparing investigative reports and assisting in seizures.
During her tenure with the U.S. Army, Ms. Greene was stationed in South Korea and held positions as a mechanic, instructor of leadership academics and recruiter. She notes that her educational background coupled with an interest in law enforcement motivated her to become involved in her profession. Driven by the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, Ms. Greene considers her work ethic and dedication to be the undisputed keys to her success.
Ms. Greene holds a bachelor of science in criminology from Florida State University and attended a number of government training programs. In recognition of 25 years of dedicated service to the federal government, she was presented with a Silver Certificate by Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Julie Myers in 2007. Ms. Greene's professional affiliations include the Florida State University Alumni Association and the American Association of Retired Persons. She is an active supporter of the United Negro College Fund, the Southern Scholarship Foundation and Save the Children.
