Lawrence R. Doucette Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Lawrence R. Doucette nationally promotes awareness and advocates for veterans
BOSTON, MA, February 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lawrence R. Doucette, Field Supervisor for Military Order of the Purple Heart, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in veterans services.
As a field supervisor for Military Order of the Purple Heart, Mr. Doucette manages veterans affairs. He advocates for and works with veterans to ensure they receive necessary help. Prior to attaining his position, he worked as a postal worker for the United States Army. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1970 for 15 ½ months and has been an advocate for over 3,000 veterans. He is also a regional field supervisor in the New York and New England National Service Offices to provide assistance to all veterans.
Mr. Doucette received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Salem State University in 1974. He is a member #1 of Military Order of the Purple Heart of Disabled Veterans of America, Vietnam Veterans of America and the New England Consortium for Brain Injury. He started as a volunteer for the organization and worked his way up to his current position. He was honored with the Purple Heart Award for wounds received in combat and attributes his success to his life experience.
