Steven M. Fields Recognized for Excellence in Military Service
Steven M. Fields awarded Commendation Medals from the United States Coast Guard and Navy
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WA, October 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steven M. Fields, Master Chief Petty Officer of the United States Coast Guard, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating leadership and excellence in military service.
As a Master Chief Petty Officer, Mr. Fields manages 45 civilian and active duty Vessel Traffic Control Specialists. He started his military service in the U.S. Navy after graduation from high school and then transferred over to the U.S. Coast Guard. He has accumulated over 15 years of sea service and is designated a permanent cutterman. He attributes his success to his dedication to service, an ability to remain flexible, and finding a balance between his career and family. He is grateful for all the support provided by his family, especially his late father.
Mr. Fields is a member of the Chief Petty Officers Association and supports the Boy Scouts of America and local blood banks. He has been awarded both the Coast Guard and Navy Commendation Medals in recognition of his outstanding performance as a leader and mentor. Mr. Fields aspires to obtain the position of the Rating Force Master Chief to build a solid foundation for future sailors.
