Annita Denise Lay has served as a captain in the U.S. Army

O'FALLON, MO, October 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Annita Denise Lay, a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Wentzville R-IV School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

As a teacher for Wentzville R-IV School District, Mrs. Lay specializes in special education. In her position, she teaches students with special needs. Prior to joining Wentzville R-IV School District, she served as a captain in the U.S. Army. She became involved in her profession after working in the human resource field for 16 years, and she attributes her success to her desire to help children with special needs.

Mrs. Lay received her Master's Degree in Special Education. She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children and an honorable member of the Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society. She graduated with honors from Xavier University. In the future, she intends to obtain a doctorate degree and become a specialist in her field.
