RIDGELAND, MS, October 4, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amanda Williams Havlicek, Senior Auditor for Harper, Rains, Knight & Company, P.A., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Accounting & Auditing. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Following a 16-year career with the United States Army, Amanda Williams Havlicek decided that it was time for a career change. Having always demonstrated a propensity for numbers, she enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. She became a CPA candidate and joined the firm of Harper, Rains, Knight & Company, P.A. in 2006. As a senior auditor with the organization, Ms. Havlicek focuses her efforts on government and healthcare-related audits. She is currently pursuing licensure in accounting and looks forward to continuing her work in the private sector.

Ms. Havlicek is professionally affiliated with the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Women Accountants, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma, Inc. She resides in Brandon and enjoys spending time with her family, camping and participating in her sons' Boy Scout activities in her free time.
