Sherry L. Friedman recognized for 25 years of professional dedication and patriotism

Fort Sam Houston, TX, January 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Sherry L. Friedman, Training Specialist and Quality Assurance Representative for the Army Medical Department Center and School of the United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military operations.

Sherry L. Friedman is a specialist in food preparations and processes, possessing nearly 25 years in the food industry and military combined. Today, she celebrates her fifth year as Training Specialist and Quality Assurance Representative for the U.S. Army, responsible for developing training products for veterinary food inspection specialists, animal care specialists, veterinary officers and veterinary food safety officers. Ms. Friedman has demonstrated excellence in every aspect of her position, gaining recognition with multiple Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, as well as the Commander's Award for Civilian Service.

Ms. Friedman credits her success to her inquisitive and detail-oriented nature, as well as her patriotism. Having initially joined the Army as a veterinary food inspection specialist, she soon rose through the ranks and will seek to take on added supervisory responsibilities as she moves forward. In her December interview with Cambridge Publishing, she recalled the highlight of her career as having the opportunity to work with German soldiers and receiving the Silver Schützenschnur, a German Armed Forces Badge for Weapons Proficiency.

Currently, Ms. Friedman is pursuing her bachelor of arts in business at Baker College. She is a certified internal auditor and holds a ServSafe Certification. She is also a member of The American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
