Roseanne M. Peterson Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Roseanne M. Peterson Brings Expertise in Management to the USAF
KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, MS, January 6, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roseanne M. Peterson, Emergency Manager for the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.
In search of a challenging career, Ms. Peterson enlisted in the USAF in 1983. She is best noted for her management skills and in her current position is responsible for overseeing training programs, ensuring the execution of plans, and making staff visits. Prior to joining the military, Ms. Peterson worked in the education field as a high school teacher. She attributes her successful transition to her determination and persistence, as well as to the high premium she places on keeping herself informed of current events.
Ms. Peterson holds a Master's Degree in Business and Finance and a certification in emergency management. She is also a certified high school teacher. She is affiliated with the Christian Firefighters Association and plays for a soccor team for the Oneida Tribe as a goalkeeper. Honors of which she is a recipient include a Commanders' Coin in 2009 and recognized for valor overseas in 2004. In her spare time, Ms. Peterson likes to keep herself busy by undertaking home improvement projects and volunteering with her local church, the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts of the USA, and Habitat for Humanity. In five years, she would like to reduce her work hours and devote more time to volunteering with the Christian organization Samaritan's Purse.
