Josephine D. Michael Honored for Excellence in Office Administration
Josephine D. Michael devoted most of her 25-year career span to the federal government
HOUSTON, TX, December 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Josephine D. Michael has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating leadership, dedication and excellence in office administration.
Mrs. Michael concluded a fruitful 25 years as an executive and administrative secretary, devoting most of her career to the federal government. She held important positions in the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Reconstruction Finance Corporation, U. S. Bankruptcy Court and U. S. Air Force. On Capitol Hill, she worked for U. S. Congressman Edward J. Bonin of Pennsylvania and U. S. Congressman Albert Thomas of Texas, which allowed her to participate in a political election campaign. She considers that to be one of the most exciting aspects of her career. Mrs. Michael also enjoyed working for the former 2578th Air Base Group and the 446th Tactical Airlift Wing at Ellington Air Force Base, Houston, Texas. She attributes her success to her focus on keeping her knowledge current, integrity, leadership skills and being responsible.
She enjoys and admires her daughter, Janis, and takes great pride in her grandson, Timothy, who recently graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and aspires to become a corporate pilot.
Mrs. Michael volunteers at Christus St. John Hospital. Her hobbies are stained glass, sewing, crafts and church activities. Her charities include the Society of Vincent de Paul, Houston Chamber of Commerce and American Cancer Society.
