Dr. Newton A. Pullian Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Dr. Newton A. Pullian's motto is 'it's not where you started; it's where you end up'
PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 9, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Newton A. Pullian, Pastor for the United Holy Church of America, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in spiritual services, military service and banking.
With 38 years of professional experience, Dr. Pullian attributes his success to his upbringing by his grandmother and his military experience. He is the pastor of Littles Memorial Temple United Holy Church. He has also served as Pastor of First Pentecostal United Holy Church of America in Philadelphia, PA and New Hope United Holy Church of America in Hartley. DE. Prior to his current position, he served as a sergeant major for the United States Army for 22 years.
Dr. Pullian served at the Pentagon as a special assistant to General Westmoreland, where he was responsible for formulating policies for the earning of equal opportunities for minority soldiers. He has assisted in formulating the curriculum for the Modern Volunteer Army and for the Department of Defense Race Relations Institute. He also had the distinction of being assigned to a special task force by the Secretary of Defense, chaired by General Daniel 'Chappie' James Jr. and Mr. Vernon Jordan, who was then the President of the Urban League.
For three years, Dr. Pullian worked as a personnel recruiter for PNC Bank. From there, he went to the finance division as the administrator of finance for budgets for four years before being promoted to assistant vice president of the banking operations division.
In 2000, Dr. Pullian earned his Doctorate in Military Science and Philosophy with a GPA of 3.59, from Canbourne University. He is a member of the North Carolina Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. He received the Air Medal for 60 Combat Air Assaults from The United States Armed Forces, as well as the Bronze Star for Combat Insurgency. Additionally, Dr. Pullian received the Legion of Merit, The Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Award four times.
Regarding his religious accomplishments, he has developed an expertise in church administration and financial management.
