Edmund L. DuBois celebrates 30 years in the United States Army

SONOMA, CA, November 19, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edmund L. DuBois, Brigadier General, United States Army (Retired) has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.

General DuBois served in the Army for 30 years. During his years in uniform, he served in several command positions and on many staff assignments in the Pentagon and under the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During World War II he saw combat duty in the South Pacific Theater and later served in Germany and in SHAPE Headquarters outside Paris. General DuBois follows his father and his grandfather in their military careers. After he retired from the Army, DuBois was a member of Stanford Research Institute for several years.

DuBois has published two books. One, a technical treatise on military combat titled A Concise Theory of Combat, was co-authored with two other writers. The other book, In the Name of Church, is a historical novel set in France in the year 1572. He is currently working on a sequel to that novel.

DuBois graduated from the University of Illinois and later from the University of Chicago with a masters degree. He also attended the Army War College. He is a member of "The Military Conflict Institute.
