Richard William Jenkins to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Richard William Jenkins celebrates a 23-year career in the military
TONAWANDA, NY, October 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard William Jenkins, retired Sergeant First Class (E-7), 25Z Visual Information Chief for the United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.
Now retired, Mr. Jenkins specializes in operations and maintenance of information systems while serving in the United States Army. As a Sergeant First Class (E-7), 25Z Visual Information Chief, he was responsible for maintaining and operating the military television and radio and overseeing satellite communications. Mr. Jenkins served from 1966 to 1990, including Vietnam between 1967 and 1968 and Korea between 1980 and 1982. He is also a Cold War veteran and has served in Germany, Korea and Panama. A third-generation member of the military, he attributes his success to his motivation and to his military background.
Mr. Jenkins received his Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Erie Community College. He is a lifetime member of the Dallas Safari Club, the Boone and Crockett Club, the National Rifle Association, Disabled American Veterans and Vietnam Veterans of America. He is also a lifetime member and former commander of The American Legion Post 264. Mr. Jenkins hopes to continue assisting other veterans and begin teaching at the pulmonary rehabilitation center.
