Ossam L. Byer Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Ossam L. Byer, Retired Military, Spent Five Years with the Department of Veterans Affairs

ELMONT, NY, September 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ossam L. Byer of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in Veterans Services.

A former Chief Master Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Byer spent five years with the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is considered to be an expert in human resources management and brings to his position previous experience with Veterans Affairs Medical Center, from which he retired as chief of administration department. Mr. Byer attributes his success to his Caribbean background.

Mr. Byer received a Post Master Diploma (1986) in International Management from Columbia University. An alumnus of Brooklyn College, he earned his Master's Degree in Political Science in 1983 and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1981. He is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Affairs, the Disabled Veterans Associations, the National Association of Uniform Services and the National Association of Federal Retired Employees. Mr. Byer enjoys traveling to the Caribbean several times a year.
