Linda M. Washington served in the United States Air Force for 21 years

SUMTER, SC, September 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda M. Washington, Military Analyst for Alion Science and Technology United States Air Force Central War Reserve Materiel Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in federal services.

As a military analyst for Alion Science and Technology, Ms. Washington provides a timely and accurate assessment of the status of resources required to accomplish the wartime mission and provides procedural guidance on management, control, and accountability of Harvest Falcon (HF) and Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) equipment. On a daily basis, she is responsible for reviewing war reserve material source documents, overseeing the Status of Resources and Training System, the Air and Space Expeditionary Force (AEF) Reporting Tool and Defense Readiness Reporting System for the United States Air Force Central Director of Logistics. Ms. Washington's expertise lies in logistics management including materiel management, transportation and logistics planning. In addition, she specializes as a career advisor providing information and guidance, conducting interviews to determine factors that negatively influence career decision and developing programs/briefings to address local concerns.

Ms. Washington received her Master of Science Degree in Community Services from Michigan State University in 2001, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1999 and her Associate in Arts Degree in 1996 from the University of Maryland University College. She also earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force in 1995. All of these degrees were earned while she served 21 years of active duty with the United States Air Force. She was honored for her service with the following awards: Meritorious Service Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Force Commendation Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Force Achievement Medal; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Six Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Service Medal with One Service Star; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
