James F. Faraguna, Esq. Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
James F. Faraguna Specializes in Veteran Advocacy
BROOKLYN, NY, September 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James F. Faraguna, Esq., Attorney, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in veterans services.
A lawyer in private practice, Mr. Faraguna is recognized as an authority on veteran advocacy. He works with disabled American veterans, manages criminal litigation, advocates for veteran benefits and housing, and facilitates support groups and community grassroots activism. He recently published a book entitled, "America Lives in Brooklyn," a collection of literary expressions that pay tribute to America's veterans. Mr. Faraguna began his career in law as a paralegal, deciding to specialize in veterans' affairs after realizing the need for advocates in that field. He was honored by the New York City Council with the designation of October 10, 1997 as "James Faraguna Day." He attributes his success to his desire to make a difference.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Mr. Faraguna is active in religious services. He currently works as a park ranger and prayer partner for Guideposts and assists in the teaching of Roman Catholic Canon Law. Originally from Turkey, he coaches American football in Istanbul and is helping build a Native American village in Enez.
Mr. Faraguna received his JD in 1990 from New York Law School. He also completed coursework in hotel management and is a certified sous chef in the state of New York. The recipient of several poetry awards, he looks forward to writing more. He would also like to popularize American football in his native Turkey.
