Elena Van Meter studied molecular biology and embryology in the former Soviet Union
WAYNESVILLE, MO, September 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elena Van Meter, Physical Scientist for the U.S. Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military science.
With 25 years of experience in her field, Ms. Van Meter specializes in radiochemistry and advanced engineering theory. As a physical scientist for the U.S. Army, she is responisble for advising leaders and senior officials in the military on scientific matters and program operations, applying experimental theories and new applications or developments, resolving unique problems, conditions and issues, altering standard practices, equipment, devices and processes, providing recommendations for advancing programs and methods, executing projects for the Army's operating programs and promoting programs to sustain natural resources and the environment. Originally from the former Soviet Union, Ms. Van Meter worked for the radiation safety division at Energy Laboratories, Inc. She attributes her success to her hard work.
Ms. Van Meter received her Master's Degree in Biophysics in Armenia in 1982.
