David T. Williams Honored for Excellence in Military Services
Having served in two wars, David T. Williams now serves as career counselor for the United States Army.

ALAMEDA, CA, July 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David T. Williams, Career Counselor for the Retention Department of the United States Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military services.

Having served in both the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, David T. Williams now enters his third year as Career Counselor for the Retention Department of the United States Army. Drawing upon his 22 years of military experience and aptitude in career retention, Mr. Williams expertly renders career counseling, teaches life retention techniques and guides army reservists in their career choices at his current post. Initially becoming involved in his profession through his experience as a quality assurance professional for the United States Department of Agriculture, Mr. Williams hopes to do private contract work in the California Bay Area as he moves forward in his career. He also intends to earn a master's degree in procurement and contract management from the University of Maryland University College, which he is currently pursuing. This will augment his academic merits, which include a bachelor of science in liberal arts from Excelsior College.

Mr. Williams has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions, spanning over the entirety of his career, from 1989 to the present. In 2009, he was bestowed with the Non-Article 5 Medal by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. He earned the Joint Service Achievement Medal from the United States Army in 2005 and the Iraq Campaign Medal in 2004. He is the recipient of multiple Achievement Medals and wears a Silver Recruiter Badge with Three Gold Achievement Stars. Mr. Williams is also active within his community, contributing to The American National Red Cross, and acting as member-at-large for the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. He is also a member of the National Contract Management Association, National Defense Industrial Association, Association of the United States Army, The National Republican Senatorial Committee and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
