John-Henry Pearcy Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Military Service
Retired Lt. Col. Aspires to Mentor Youth in Juvenile Centers.
OMAHA, NE, February 5, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John-Henry Pearcy, who has retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of military service.
Mr. Pearcy enjoyed a distinguished 28-career in the service of his country. Respected for his expertise in radar navigation instruction, he was in charge of developing training plans for forward air controllers and mission planning guides for cruise missiles. He brought to his position experience from previous assignments with the National Security Agency in Maryland, the Misawa Air Base in Japan, the Royal Air Force Chicksands in England, and Osan Air Force Base in Korea.
Additionally, Mr. Pearcy worked as a B-52 trainer in Mather Air Force Base and Castle Air Force Base in California, as a B-52 trainer, radar navigator, and RN instructor at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, as a radar navigator instructor at Castle Air Force Base, as a ground forward air controller for the 10th Mountain Division in New York, and as a flight commander of the cruise missile division of the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Mr. Pearcy considers joining the military as an enlisted member and becoming an officer to have been his proudest professional accomplishment. Honored with numerous military awards, he attributes his success to his dedication, honesty, and integrity.
Named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Military Defense in 2008, Mr. Pearcy received his Master's Degree in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University in 1989. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Peru State College in 2003 and his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland in 1981. He gives generously to Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, The American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. Now officially in retirement, Mr. Pearcy aspires to work with the youth in juvenile centers to develop their leadership skills and motivate them to pursue careers.
