Gloria D. Smith Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

UPPER MARLBORO, MD, November 7, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gloria D. Smith, Co-Owner and Founder of Snacktivity, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of business management.

As co-owner of Snacktivity, a snack distribution company that offers vending services, Ms. Smith is responsible for managing business operations including finance and overseeing community services. She brings to her position 12 years of professional experience, which includes serving in the U.S. Navy for four years and in the Reserves for two years. She still works as a DoD civilian at a joint command as the program manager for Navy and Marine Corp. assignments, promotions and awards, and has been doing so for the last six years. Recognized by the Honor Society of Prince George's Community College, Ms. Smith attributes her success to the support she receives from her parents.

Ms. Smith received an Associate's Degree in Forensic Science Technician Studies from Prince George's Community College in 2008, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Investigative Forensics, with a minor in Women's Studies, at the University of Maryland, University College. In addition to her work for Snacktivity, Ms. Smith founded Helpful Habits, an extension of New Covenant Baptist Church's Outreach Ministry, last January. She also serves as the public relations officer for Sistas Inc. Motorcycle Club, and plays the drums for two church choirs. She looks forward to expanding her business further and aspires to venture into the real estate industry in the future.
