Dr. Daniel F. Battafarano Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
Dr. Battafarano is a recipient of Faculty Awards from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

FORT SAM HOUSTON, TX, October 8, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Daniel F. Battafarano, Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at Brooke Army Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of rheumatology.

Specializing in rheumatology, Dr. Battafarano has the benefit of over 25 years of professional experience on which to draw. He is responsible for caring for patients, acting as a key faculty member for the internal medicine and rheumatology residencies, and conducting clinical research. Dr. Battafarano is a recipient of Faculty Awards from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, the Outstanding Faculty Award from the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Program including Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center and the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Department of Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center. In addition, he received the Laureate Award from the U.S. Army Chapter of the American College of Physicians and the Legion of Merit Medal from the U.S. Army Medical Department on retiring as a Colonel from the Army.

Dr. Battafarano graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983 and completed his internal medicine residency in 1987 and rheumatology fellowship in 1992 in the U.S. Army. He received his Master of Arts from Bryn Mawr College and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Scranton. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Rheumatology.
